I would not recommend using RAC Auto Services unless you have money to waste. They are negligent, inefficient, ineffective, and would not understand customer service if their lives depended on it. Unfortunately we found out the hard way when we took our Pajero in for a major log book service. They misquoted, then told us halfway through the day how much extra it would cost to actually do the full service, which we had no choice but to agree to as half the job was supposedly done. Cost us $2000 for the service. Had to take it back a day later due to issues which turned out to be a belt that should have been picked up as part of the service, but was not. Then told that would cost an additional couple of hundred to fix!!!! Complaint lodged with RAC, but no investigation done. We got told by the RAC complaints that the Auto Services had done nothing wrong. We've been with RAC for over 35 years. That is worse than poor. It's reprehensible. We had a private mechanic check out the Pajero, and he gave us a list of things that were not done or picked up by RAC Auto Services. Currently our complaint is with Consumer Affairs. Extremely disappointed by the whole experience.
5 months agoWe had our car towed there on a Friday night though RAC Roadside Assistance after the alternator died. Having read some very negative Google reviews about RAC Auto Service Perth City I was wishing at the time that it had been towed somewhere else. However I got a call form them on the Monday morning with a quote for repairs that was within the expected ballpark for an alternator replacement - neither a bargain nor excessive - and gave the go ahead. They messaged the next morning that the car was ready. There were no issues with the service provided and having the repair done and the car back on the road in such a timely fashion was a pleasant surprise. So although I'll stick to our own mechanic for normal servicing of our cars, we have no complaints about our experience with RAC Auto Service Perth City.
7 months agoThe RAC Northbridge team is amazing. They offer great customer services, and they are genuinely trustworthy and reliable. My car had some issues before and got it diagnosed at RAC. The diagnosis was quick and accurate but I ended up getting the repair done somewhere else. However, the car still had some issues after the work so I brought it back to RAC. They helped me diagnose and fix the issue without charging me anything. Really appreciate their help!!❤️
