UNETHICAL SERVICE I went to do my car inspection on the 30/04/2026 which was $223, a guy came upto me after an hour and said “you need to restore your headlights and that’s it” and let me go without saying much, on the 03/06/2026 I went to check with DOT because I was not able to pay my Rego, turns out my car did not pass the inspection, I called them back and asked about it and the receptionist told me to come down and check my inspection certificate and I need to book another appointment to have a look and possibly fix the issue, the lady asked for my car key and came back to me with another quote for $349, to restore headlights and secure bumper including under tray and I told her to let me know before they do anything to my car, I even said if they’ve told me about it I’d have fixed it the first time I visited them, she said the guy doesn’t work there anymore. They have a policy which says if I can bring back the car fixed within 24hrs I don’t need to pay for the appointment, which to me they clearly dodged. And to make it worst I was talking with another mechanic guy to find a possible solution when a guy who claims to be the boss came out rude, interrupted our conversation and told the other guy to go inside and said “I am his boss” and I’m costing him more money, I’ve a longer video of that guy coming at me rudely but after I started recording his attitude changed, but not so much. Too long to upload Will upload in different socials Try not to visit this place unless you want to ruin your day.
4 months agoI took my BMW 328i F30 here for an interstate transfer inspection. The process was straightforward and professional. They identified two issues, bubbling tint on the rear windscreen and a screw puncture in one tyre, both of which genuinely needed rectifying before passing. They explained everything clearly and even pointed me in the right direction to get the repairs sorted. When I asked about timing due to tint availability, they were flexible with the re-inspection timeframe and didn’t charge for the repeat inspection. I had seen a few negative reviews regarding pits inspections, but my experience was the opposite. They were thorough, fair, and not looking to create unnecessary work. I’d happily recommend them.
7 months agoI went to Ultra Tune Osborne Park for a PTV inspection with an appointment at 3:30 pm. I believe I may have gone to the wrong place for this type of inspection. Paying upfront for the inspection is normal and I had no issue with that. However, the inspection process felt unnecessarily drawn out. My car is a Toyota Corolla Sedan 2018, which is generally in good condition, yet the inspection took about 1.5 hours. At around 4:45 pm, I was told that my brake pads needed to be changed and that the issue had to be fixed within 24 hours. I agreed. Then I was told that the brake discs also needed replacing, which I wasn’t familiar with, so I asked if they could fix it for me. The staff member said they could not do it that day as they were closing, and told me it could only be done late the next afternoon because they had other cars to work on. I asked for a quote, and after going into the office, he came back and told me the cost was $612, which came as a shock. At the time, I didn’t question it because I trusted they were helping me. Another customer there for a vehicle inspection also failed and was told his car had a gas leak. He was given a similar explanation, and both of us were asked to leave our cars there overnight. What really concerned me was that the next morning just after 8:00 am, I received a call saying my car was already fixed and ready for pickup, despite being told the previous day that repairs couldn’t be done until late afternoon. Overall, the experience left me confused and uncomfortable. I would recommend clearer explanations, more transparency around repair urgency and pricing, and better consistency in communication. Overall I do not recommend. I regret not checking the reviews before going there .
